On Wednesday, March 1, 12 finalists pitched their startups in front of a panel of judges and the crowd at the 3rd annual 2017 Canadian Crowdfinance Summit (CCS2017) at MaRS Discovery District. 4 out of the 12 finalists won a “Front of the Line” Golden Ticket to the Toronto audition of CBC Dragon’s Den, guaranteeing them a chance to pitch in front of the infamous dragons! The winners of each session are as follows:
- Winner of session 1 (pre-revenue), led by Matthew Seniuk of Startup Canada: Tripian (Cenan Yunusoglu)
- Winner of session 2 (post-revenue), led by Craig Leonard of MaRS Investment Accelerator Fund: Knote (Ron Glozman)
- Winner of session 3 (post-revenue), led by Sean Stephens of National Angel Capital Organization: Dash MD (Zack Fisch)
- Winner of session 4 (pre-revenue), led by Jeff Dennis of TIE Toronto: Emerge (Alexandru Horghidan)
